Activate Youth: More than a project - Book
One of the main outputs created during the project was a book with the methodology “activism through non-formal learning” (ANFL).
The book was made by our queer youth workers and the young participants involved in the activities.
Over the span of the 3-years of the project, through different processes and activities – reporting documentation, partners meeting, group and individual work, online meetings, measuring impact and evaluating the activities (youth programmes, training course, study visits and multiplier events), adjusting the planning and the book aims, we concluded with many of the discoveries in the book.
A first edition of the book was created during the project and shared with the immediate actors and stakeholders, while its final updated edition was concluded after the official ending of the project, and now its again accessible to be downloaded. A few printed copies are also available.
The Book includes:
- information about the project, its main working pillars and objectives.
- information about the publication, the purpose and how the book can be used and applied.
- Essays from the participating organizations with their approaches and collective practices.
- Essays from the participating organizations with the impact of the methodology in their youth work.
- Collected testimonials by participants from the main learning activities, which reflect the impact of the methodology.
- Good practices and tools that were implemented in the local communities by participants and inspired by the main activities
The Book is available for viewing online and for download, using the links below. It follows a storytelling approach, focusing on elaborating and introducing the methodology through the stories and experiences that have been collected throughout the project.
It invites the reader to follow three main acts – ACT I: Holding Space, ACT II: Taking Space, ACT III: Expanding Space, and immerse themselves in becoming part of the experience, rethinking the notion of activism, non-formal learning, queerness, youth participation, and get inspired to activate youth forward.
