Activate Youth
welcome to our network
Activate Youth is more than a project
It is a growing informal network of organizations, and queer youth workers, young activists, volunteers, educators and community members built on mutual values, collaboration and shared growth.
We create and hold spaces where queer youth coming from intersectional backgrounds can collaborate, learn from each other, and actively contribute to positive social change, by taking space and expanding it in their local communities and beyond.
In this platform, you can find information and resources about the project, find inspiration in the activities that were organized and in the stories shared by the community members and participants of the project and network.
While the project has been completed, the network continues its queer youth work across Europe and beyond. As well as this platform remains and the activation continues with new resources and materials to be shared.
Project Overview
Activate Youth project took place between 2023 – 2025 across the participating countries The Netherlands, Greece, Slovenia, Italy, Estonia and Latvia. It brought together six organizations that work respectively in their fields with LGBTQIA+/Queer youth and other margninalized and intersectional target groups.
The project focused on using non-formal learning as a tool for activism to create tangible and intangible impact on its participants, organizations, associated partners, target groups and wider audiences and stakeholders, who can benefit and grow their capacities, resources, organizational, personal and professional development.
